‘There’s no excuse for sloppy marketing’: Boots on making its Christmas campaign more ‘personal’
Boots has called in Adjoa Andoh as an empowered Mrs Claus and is venturing into gaming for its Christmas 2024 campaign.
Boots is pulling out the stops with a Mrs Claus themed Christmas campaign trialling 65% new marketing tactics, designed to support the retailer’s launch of over 40 new seasonal gifting brands.
Bridgerton star Adjoa Andoh stars as Mrs Claus in the Boots Christmas ‘werkshop’, which sees elves showcasing Boots’ range of beauty products. Having launched 55 new beauty brands in the last year, including viral favourites Bubble Skincare, Sol de Janerio and Laneige, the campaign heroes the retailer’s widening product portfolio.
The advert’s product focus differs from Boots’ approach over the past three years rooted in joy and family, as CMO Pete Markey notes the need to “evolve”.
