The market research industry has been thrown for a loop over the past two years. The advent of generative AI has left many pondering the future health of the industry while an increasing reliance on first-party data has led some marketers to view market research as an expense they can’t afford in challenging times.

Simply put, market research firms need good marketing to fight back.

YouGov is one of the most famous market research firms in the world. Its CMO Mike Woods, though, was aware of the challenges facing the industry and wanted to make sure YouGov was set up to face them with a new positioning.
