Does the perfect marketing team exist?

Culture, diversity and looking beyond marketing are the key components of an ‘ideal’ marketing team, say leaders from Specsavers, Sky and KP Snacks.

Is there such a thing as an ideal marketing team? The answer will vary from one marketing leader to another, but the fact many brands seem to be in a perpetual state of restructure suggests finding the perfect set-up is no mean feat.  

However, that doesn’t mean brands shouldn’t strive for an ideal, but they must be clear in the knowledge it will take hard work, and be willing to admit when it hasn’t gone right.  

Take Sky for example. Earlier this year, the business combined Sky Broadband and Sky Mobile internally under one moniker, Sky Connectivity, having grown increasingly aware of the interconnected nature of the two brands and how customers interact with them both.
