There’s been lots of discussion about the changing nature of the CMO role and whether it’s fit for purpose in a evolving landscape. New job titles have been created in some organisations and the CMO title and role eliminated in others.
In May, Compare the Market restructured its marketing leadership team, removing the CMO role and appointing its former holder, Mark Vile, as chief brand officer and former chief revenue officer, Tom Wallis, as chief customer officer.
