Sparkling wine Chapel Down on the ‘big-little moments’ driving category growth

On a mission to become the leading English sparkling wine brand, Chapel Down wants to bring value to a category still shrugging off misconceptions.

For Chapel Down, the ambition is to be at the frontier of driving the English sparkling wine category. To do that, the business is focusing on building its brand by driving awareness and embedding distinctive assets.

CMO Liam Newton joined the company in October 2022 with the intention of establishing Chapel Down as a distinctive and premium brand.

Newton’s previous experience focused on nurturing and being a “custodian” of established brands such as Carlsberg, Bacardi and Stella Artois, which have been in existence for generations. Chapel Down is a different challenge.
